Traditional Hispanic Wedding Asheville

The first time we met Cynthia and Pedro was the day of their engagement session! We met on a sunny afternoon up at Craggy Gardens! Based on their style and the lighting that day, we opted to use the flatter side of Craggy with the open fields and covered pavilions. We are glad we did because it complimented these cuties perfectly! The process was so effortless with these two! Between the passionate body language and flirty smiles, we had an amazing time getting get document their love!

After a few months had gone by, we received a follow up contact from Cynthia. She and Pedro loved their experience and photos so much, that they honored us with the opportunity to be there on their wedding day! We were so excited not only because of how sweet these two were but we knew they had excellent chemistry on camera. Add in the exhilaration of emotions that come with a wedding day and we knew this would be something special!

Soon after we met up at Char Bar – 7 near Asheville to grab a bite and go over wedding details! It was there we learned that the men in Pedro’s family traditionally wear the attire of a Charro, or Mexican cowboy on their wedding day. Once we learned about this tradition and started to visualize their wedding, we definitely grew eager! They also told us that the ceremony would be a full traditional catholic mass, all in Spanish! This was something totally unique to us but at the same time something we looked forward to! Thankfully one of our best friends Jaime Martinez tagged along on the wedding day and helped us translate seamlessly when needed which definitely helped the day run smooth.

The connection, the tradition, the massive amount of support present from their friends and family, and the immaculate church all helped to make for one of the most beautiful ceremonies we have ever been a part of! Right down the street from the church was The Park at Flat Rock and the plan was to go to the park to take some scenic couples portraits as well as bridesmaid and groomsmen shots. Like she often does, mother nature had other plans as the moment we got set up, the rain and lightning came in heavy! The weather showed no signs of letting up and we eventually all decided that it would be best to head to the venue! The reception venue was not your traditional wedding venue and for good reason! With such a strong sense of community amongst their friends and family, it was anticipated that there would be up to 600 guests at Cynthia and Pedro’s celebration, so they rented one of the event centers at the WNC agricultural center to accommodate all the love! When we arrived the stables instantly caught our eye! God has a mysterious way of working things out sometimes, and I’m sure at a certain point many of us wondered why it would rain on such a sweet couples’ wedding day, but the horse stables served as the absolute perfect backdrop for this beautiful bride and her charro!

Though our time with Cynthia and Pedro was short on this day, we felt no shortage of love. From their kind souls to the hospitality of their friends and loved ones, we left truly feeling like one of the family!

Congrats you two! We wish you ever lasting happiness!
