Yes, we literally titled our blog that and for such good reason! We recently had the pleasure of spending a special Sunday with Emily & Chris for their beautiful union at Homewood in Asheville. The day was filled with excitement from beginning to end, and memories that we are certain they won’t soon forget! We first met with Emily & Chris in the months leading up to their wedding and the experience was delightful. You simply couldn’t help but love these two! They were both so kind hearted and accomplished as individuals, but as we got to know them at City Bakery in downtown Asheville, we could see that together they had achieved so much more. They had both met their perfect match and created a remarkably loving bond that is obvious to anyone around them!
Being wedding photographers and not English teachers, we find that we tell our stories better with imagery instead of words but before we take you on that visual journey, we had to mention Chris & Emily’s first look. We had a front row seat to their love story all day, but when they saw one another for the first time it was by far our favorite moment. Both of them shed beautiful tears of joy while they softly embraced each other’s presence. As they held each other close and we snapped away at the timeless love in front of our eyes, Jenny and I couldn’t help but look at each other and smile as we both recognized in an instant how special this moment was to them. This was the first of many memories that we were present for but there were so many to mention! Literally every wedding guest we came into contact with was having fun! The bridals party kept things entertaining from getting ready through the end of the night! The ceremony was greeted by some of the best Asheville weather we have had in a while. The dance floor was happening all night! The band absolutely rocked! The catering and desserts were delicious! Eloquent speeches were filled with the stories of yesterday while looking forward to the future! Homewood staff was everywhere and supportive as always, and this may have been the most on time wedding we’ve ever been a part of! To sum it all up perfectly, the day was everything a wedding is supposed to be. It was easy like Sunday morning.
