Last year we attended Imaging USA for the first time! It’s a great conference for photographers of all levels, from beginners and hobbyists to well seasoned professionals, although I would say it definitely caters to the professional. Last year we learned a ton, gained a lot of new perspective, and at times we were partially overwhelmed with the expo as well! In addition to all of the presentations on technical skills, lighting, editing, marketing, inspiration, and business, they also have an expo filled from wall to wall with the latest and greatest photography gear and products! Coming in this year in Atlanta, we had a little bit better idea of how to approach the conference and what to expect! We knew in advance what seminars we wanted to attend and planned it out, and when we attended the expo, we had an idea of the gear we wanted to check out and consider for the future! Of course there are always a few surprises along the way. We discovered our album company Red Tree is carrying a new album platform that is gorgeous and we think our brides are going to fall absolutely in love with! We met one of our idols/biggest educators in Pye Jyrsa, and we also got to try out some fresh new lenses that just hit the market and all we can say is OMG!!! if anybody wants to know what to get us for Christmas, Canon has this new 400mm f/2.8 and…just kidding, but it did feel cool to take a few shots with a $12,000 lens! Naturally the rest of our time was filled with editing as we were blessed to have 3 weddings in January to start off what is sure to be an amazing year! We were also able to connect with friends from Asheville, Greenville, and DC! We are already looking forward to next year and we are pumped to be heading into 2019 with some fresh new ideas! Hope you enjoy some of the captures from our trip!
