Allison and Sam’s wedding at The Inn at Tranquility Farm was the epitome of what we love about being wedding photographers. Hanging with cool couples, at beautiful places, capturing all the fun and emotional moments, thoughtful and personalized details, and one heck of a dance party! Having gotten to meet them last fall for their engagement session I knew we were going to be in an awesome day! Thanks to some scheduling mishaps on my part, we had to split up for their engagement as Jenny was shooting another session that same day else where. Allison and Sam could not have been any more chill about the mix up and with the help of our teammate Regina, we were able to make everything happen without missing a beat! It’s probably the most overused term in the photography world when referring to people, but let’s face it, Allison and Sam were naturals in front of the camera!
From our perspective, their big day was all about connection. It was evident from the moment they hopped off the rental buses that they were both so close with their friends and family. Getting to be amongst the fun that they shared with their loved ones made this day even more special! By far our favorite moments throughout the day was the reading of their letters before their first looks and of course their first look itself. Much of the emotion and build up of that day finally came out in the sweetest of happy tears as they embraced one another before the wedding ceremony.
Of course this day wouldn’t be complete unless we talked briefly about their reception which saw many laughs, speeches that shared hilarious stories of yesteryear, and a dance floor that was hopping all night long courtesy of the Spam Haiku band and our friend DJ P-Lo! We couldn’t be any happier for Allison and Sam and we hope you all enjoy following along on their special day!
