5eleven Palafox Wedding : A + J

It seems 2024 will be the year of travel for us, and one of first big trips for a wedding was Jesse and Amanda’s big day in Pensacola, FL this April! While it was an amazing day in the sunshine state, this is nowhere near the beginning of our story with these lovelys. We have to go back to November of 2021 here near Asheville! Jesse reached out to us about helping to capture his surprise proposal to his then girlfriend Amanda. Jesse was high energy and you could tell he was crazy about Amanda. Everything had to be perfect, and to add to the excitement, it was also going to be a surprise for his daughters who would be traveling to the area with them. Everything went off without a hitch and it ended up being one of the sweetest proposals we’ve ever been a part of and an always pleasant reminder of why we love being photographers.

We also got to see them last year in mid spring for their engagement session at the NC Arboretum. These cuties picked up right where they left off, and absolutely crushed their engagement photos.

We still had another year to go, but it was totally worth the wait! Jesse and Megan said their I dos at 5Eleven Palafox. This was our first time visiting their venue and it was super cute! It was exactly as we had seen on instagram and made for the perfect setting for their big day! Their planing team Fete Flora Events, was the bomb diggity! They’re posh styling had the reception and ceremony space looking gorgeous! As much as we could talk about how beautiful everything was, this one goes deeper than that. For us, it was about connections. Jesse and Amanda had a special relationship with everyone at their wedding. I don’t think I saw a single guest that wasn’t laughing with them or sharing a drink with them at one point or another. They even made us feel like one of the crew and for that we will be forever grateful! Did we mention Amanda’s mid reception haircut?! This one is a celebration for the ages and one we hope you enjoy following along on!
