What does a gorgeous couple, amazing views, and awesome party all have in common? Rachel and Lanston’s wedding day of course! It was held at the beautiful Longleaf Vineyard just outside of Asheville, NC! To be honest, we’ve been wanting to shoot here for a long time but it seems like the starts never quite aligned in terms of availability. One visit to this location and it’s pretty obvious what the hype is all about. They boast some of the best mountain views of any wedding venue in WNC, and their lush vineyards also add that element of romance. Did we mention they have their own wine!? If that wasn’t enough, the owners Wendy and Bryan provide a wonderful experience for the couple, their guests, and the vendors alike!
Like a lot of our couples, I think Rachel and Lanston booked us around year out from their big day. I don’t think anyone could have imagined how much turbulence we would all experience leading up to their wedding last year but through the grace of God, and everybody doing their absolute best to figure things out, Rachel and Lanston were able to reschedule and have their wedding day a few months after anticipated. Like many folks, they had to downsize a little bit, but given how much fun their friends and families were, it felt like a big wedding! The laughs were plentiful, the emotions were strong, and their love was never more apparent. As with every wedding, there is always a particular moment during the day or thing that stands out to us throughout that ends up being our favorite part of the day. For us it was the connection between Rachel and Lanston. There wasn’t any one specific moment, but all of them! These two absolutely adore each other and it shows throughout. From hearing them talk about each other, to hearing the way their friends and family talked about them, talking about each other. Their chemistry, passion, and connection is undeniable and getting to be the person that captures that is truly a gift! We hope you enjoy getting to follow along on their special day as much as we did!
