Nichols Heir Glass House Wedding | R + S

Groom kissing bride on the cheek inside of the Nichols Heir Glass House.

Last summer we were fortunate to connect with Rachel and Stephen for their engagement session!  We met these cuties out west and within 2 minutes we were deep into the mountain biking conversation (common theme I know).  What can we say, having a bike rack always helps.  By the time we made our short trek out to the lake shore, we felt like we just made two new friends.  Stephen and Rachel were such a dream couple to work with from the get go.  In that short time you could already gain a sense of how kind and genuine they were, and when we shifted from getting to know them to rocking their engagement session, it was evident these two were a perfect match!  Stephen and Rachel had a playful chemistry that made them dynamite on camera!  As we adventured around the area with these two, we talked everything from life to travel and we left that day feeling energized, hopeful to connect with these two again whether personally or professionally.

As fate would have it, Rachel and Stephen decided we would be a great fit for their wedding just a few months away in Tennessee!  Living out west during the summer months and on the east coast the rest of the year has afforded us the opportunity to connect and travel with so many amazing couples like these two and we are eternally grateful for these connections!  We knew if their wedding day was half as fun as their engagement, we were going to be in for an epic day!  We were also excited to visit their wedding venue.  They were getting married at The Nichols Heir Glass House in Sevierville Tennessee and if you haven’t had the opportunity to visit this beautiful venue, it is awesome!  It truly is a luxury wedding estate nestled in the smokies with gorgeous long range views, and immaculate facilities spread throughout their 100 acre property.  Everything from the groom’s suite to the reception area exceeded our expectations, but for us the real treat was The Glass House where Stephen and Rachel would be holding their ceremony.  It feels like over the last few years, the concept of a green house wedding or a glass house (or glass atrium) has been growing more and more in popularity but even with shooting 80+ weddings per year, this would be our first time shooting in one for a wedding.  Needless to say, we were stoked!  Rachel and Stephen’s big day was everything we knew it would be capped off by a dance floor that that brought the action!  It was a day full of tender moments, plentiful laughs, and beautiful southern charm the area is know for.  We hope you all enjoy following along!
