Our goal for this article was simple and to the point. We wanted to bring you a list of our favorite mountain view wedding venues in North Carolina and provide some visual examples to help you on your search! With that, we can tell you firsthand, North Carolina has some of the best mountain view wedding venues in the country, and easily the best on the east coast! Below are our top 10 favorites! (For your convenience, we've also included a link to their websites at the bottom)
The Parker Mill - Whittier, NC
Located about an hour west of the always popular city Asheville, NC, The Parker Mill is the epitome of beautiful mountain wedding venues! They arguably have the best mountain views when it comes to wedding venues in NC. Their outdoor covered pavilion provides gorgeous mountain views as your backdrop during ceremony, and the open area to the right of it provides plenty of beautiful views for your bridal party & family portraits. But, what really seals the deal for this amazing venue is the mountain top! Just a short ride up their property with the owners and you’ll soon be treated to one of the best uninterrupted mountains views in Western North Carolina!
Longleaf Vineyard - Marshall, NC
Can you imagine having a vineyard AND all the mountain views your heart desires!? Well you don’t have to, you just need to visit Longleaf Vineyard in Marshall, NC! Just a short drive from Asheville, this venue’s combo of scenic views and different angles throughout their beautiful property coupled with the added bonus of a live and lush vineyard also make this one of the most unique venues on our list! Just one visit and trust us, you won’t want to leave!
Twickenham House - Jefferson, NC
‘Hey, wait, haven’t I heard of this place before?’ If you’re a country music fan, then you probably already know, this is where Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi Dugal said I do. They also used some of the video from his wedding, during the music video for his hit song “This is It.” Located in Jefferson, NC, Twickenham house is definitely off the beaten path for most. In truth it almost feels like you’re a thousand miles from anywhere when you arrive to their scenic and tranquil property. The mood and feeling of this wedding venue are hard to beat, but easily one of the biggest attractions for most of the couples who get married here are the gorgeous mountain views. The ceremony site is definitely a favorite but when we get an adventurous couple we absolutely love to go on a little hike through the woods on their property to access the cliffs!
Something Blue Mountain Venue - Marion, NC
This beautiful mountain venue in Marion, NC specializes in more intimate sized weddings but the mountain views are anything but small! From their ceremony backdrop to the open fields, this scenic venue boasts some of the best views in the area!
The Ridge - Marshall, NC
The Ridge is known for multiple things including their French & Spanish inspired Chateau on property that is to die for, but what that people rave about most are the amazing views! With mountain views from almost every angle on their property, it’s easy to see why this is one of the most sought after and talked about mountain venues in North Carolina!
Overlook Barn - Banner Elk, NC
Unlike many of the venues on this list, Overlook Barn will take you a little further east than a lot of the mountain wedding venues in WNC. Nestled in the quiet mountain town of Banner Elk, NC, Overlook Barn is known for it’s beautiful white barn with that modern farmhouse charm and of course, amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Our favorite views usually come via their mountaintop around sunset, but rest assured there isn’t a bad view in sight while visiting!
Biltmore - Asheville, NC
The Biltmore needs no introduction. It’s an iconic tourist destination for travelers nationwide and internationally, the gardens are breathtaking, and it is synonymous with luxury! There are literally a 1,001 things to see at The Biltmore Estate, but one of our favorite features of shooting weddings at this historic location are the mountain views throughout the estate! Whether you’re on the front lawn, or around the back of the estate by The Inn, you can usually find a beautiful mountain view for all of your photo needs.
Crest Center and Pavilion - Asheville, NC
Easily one of the most convenient venues when it comes to being close to town, a lot of folks are surprised to hear about the mountain views at Crest Center and Pavilion. Known throughout the local wedding industry for being the venue you go to when you have a large number of guests, this Asheville wedding venue also has wonderful mountain views from the back of their property as well as the front and it feels like we always get some of the best sunsets at Crest!
Hawkesdene - Andrews, NC
Hawkesdene may be one of the best kept secrets on this list! We were literally talking to a random stranger the other day while traveling and she is from the town that Hawkesdene is in and she had never heard of it! Known for their lush foliage throughout most of the year, their culinary talents, and being able to accommodate their guests with onsite housing, Hawkesdene is one of our favorite wedding venues in NC! But what really puts the cherry on top when it comes to this scenic wedding venue is their “Hawk’s nest,” as the venue calls it. This is about the only spot accessible to guests and vendors that has a mountain view but the view is absolutely breathtaking with layers and layers of blue ridge mountains!
Sky Retreat - Purlear, NC
With one of the most unique property layouts on this list, Sky Retreat also has some of the best mountain views in North Carolina, let alone best views for a wedding venue. Enjoy the vast views from their ceremony sites, open field, and even from the comfort of indoors with their reception location! One trip here and it’s easy to see why this awesome venue is on our list.
Hidden Hill Venue - Morganton, NC
Perched high above the lights of town, one of our favorite mountain wedding venues is Hidden Hill Venue! It’s also one of the most unique venues on our list. Whereas most of the venues on our list sit in the mountains or have amazing views (as does Hidden Hill) this venue is actually the highest point in the surrounding area which gives it the unique perspective of looking down on everything around it! This beautiful venue sits hillside on 11 acres with vast views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. They have multiple outdoor ceremony sites, rustic elegant charm with that touch of modern farmhouse inside, and the convenience of an onsite bridal suite & groom suite! Located just an hour east of the always popular Asheville, NC, Hidden Hill Venue & Conference Center continues to grow in popularity amongst couples looking to escape to the mountains and say I do!
